Phil Myre is a veteran of 14 seasons in the NHL as a goaltender; he appeared in 439 games with Montreal, Atlanta, St. Louis, Philadelphia, Colorado and Buffalo.

 

When it comes to hockey, Phil Myre has truly done it all. Winning is familiar to him. He won championships at all levels: (Memorial Cup, Calder Cup, Bronze Medal and the Stanley Cup)

He made his NHL debut with the Montreal Canadiens where he was a member of a Stanley Cup Championship team.  Phil also played a major role during the Philadelphia Flyers’ record breaking 35 game unbeaten streak and a trip to the Stanley Cup finals.

Following his playing career, Myre worked in a variety of coaching positions with the Los Angeles Kings, Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks.

 

For nine seasons (1995-2004), he also worked with the Ottawa Senators as Pro Scout and Goalie Coach helping the team move from last overall to the President Trophy awarded to the team finishing first overall. He held the same position with the Florida Panthers for five seasons.

 

Through his career and his wide range of experience in pro hockey, Phil speaks in a variety of events as he candidly compares life in the NHL to the competitive world of business and life in general. He shows that the same tools can be used to achieve success and to work through adversity. His colorful and humorous stories are sure to inspire.
